Staff ok but desperate to hurry you out the store, cheap but food quality of their own brand is low. Would rather chew my leg than their sausage rolls.
There is one guy who is always near the self serve tills...he must take a bath in aftershave. The whole front of the store smells like the inside of a tarts handbag.Totally unnecessary. Having someone use too much aftershave is as bad as having someone who doesnt wash.Who wears aftershave to work in a supermarket anyway?
I always use this store.. Okayish staff. Only one incident. That's put me slightly off. Recently went here yesterday to buy my usual lunch and bought xbox vouchers so i can buy a game i wanted. Only problem is. They forgot to activate the vouchers .so now have to waste 15 miles to go bk. Spoke to the manager recently about a refund but they seemed they didnt believe me and wanted to see a full bank statement on Monday. But why i showed them proof on my phone but they want a full copy of my bank statement :/ even the staff member couldn't remember me that well and shes one who took my address. Once i get my money back i aint coming bk . I felt like a criminal and was treated like one
I did late night shopping tonight (19/7) but no tills were staffed. I will not use the self service because the prices I pay include an element for staff wages. All the supermarkets expect us to scan our own shopping while we're paying for a member of staff to do it. Either give a discount to self scanners or make sure there's at least one checkout open. There were 3 young members of staff just stood chatting by the checkouts and when I said I didn't want to self scan a young lady, Zoe, offered to do it for me. She clearly wasn't too chuffed when I took her up on her offer. I didn't have many items but she scanned them at lightning speed trying to resist the temptation to throw the items in my bag. I tried to make polite small talk to appease her but she didn't respond except to say ''put your card in' as she walked off. Such an arsy attitude! So I've deducted one star for no checkouts being open and another for Ms Arsy! You don't need staff like that.
Good sized Asda store. Lady behind the cafe counter Wednesday afternoon is a legend.
