I went to this school before they even moved location and still stayed with this school. I had really enjoyed my time there, the staff were really kind and caring Ive always had good experiences there. Some student werent as nice but you cant really do anything about that, if I hadnt of moved away this would have been my all time favourite. (Mr chand was my tutor and my favourite teacher)
Some staff are absolutely lovely and are authentic in wanting to support both pupils and families, others however, have displayed themselves to be disingenuous, narcissistic, discriminate, uncaring and have a false sense of egotistical authority, only interested in preserving their station, rather than upholding the 'kba core values' and the law, portraying themselves as a trustworthy friend. Kba imploys psychological tactics to steer and dominate both pupils and vulnerable parents. Your freedom will be taken and/or manipulated. Giving nearly everyone the title of vice principal possibly doesn't help the situation?that said, if you want to be vice principal, or/and you have the negative qualities of the unfavourable contestants of Ru-pauls drag race, or you simply prefer to buy into the false notion that only a school can educate, or you don't care about this review, then this school is definitely for you. If you take your child's total wellbeing seriously, I would consider ALL other options first. This review is based from my three young teens experience and my own. Lunch time was 45mins,but is now 30 mins for all 1600 + pupils to get lunch and eat. This is where pupils would normally be given the oppertunity to either revise, socialise or seek genuine educational or wellbeing support. I was informed by one of the many vice principals that the lunch reduction was due to pupils not having anything to do AND reading in lesson time encroached on teachers, teaching. This does not take into account that many pupils read prolifically in their own time at home, like my children do. Also, this does not take into account the maturity levels of individual pupils, nor does kba take into account that pupils who are unfortunite enough to get a poor and limited choice of lunch do not have the time to eat it and are treated in a unsympathetic manner. A great school, I'm currently studying Maths and Sciences here and the staff in those departments are exceptionally great teachers. The house system is a great way for KS3&4 to engage with school activities.
