Love it , can't beat their full English

Oh my word, what a warm and friendly place this is, the staff are so lovely and no request is too big or small, the manager and chef always say hello if their about, children are welcome only downside is there isn't much round for pushchairs, high chairs are provided also.Food is wonderful and with a wide variety from salads, burgers, breakfasts, jacket potatos, sandwiches on a choice of bread/roll and of course cakes and treats. There is a vast choice of drinks to choose from, including a small seasonal section and all very reasonably priced I feel.Their must haves for me are ... Hot chocolates (choice of flavours) with lashing of whipped cream, marshmallows and a flake on the side,Milk shakes in your choice of flavour which comes with whipped cream and real ice cream.Jacket potatoes there cooked just right not too soft or crispy and oh my word that coleslaw is to die for.You can also call in your order and then come and pick it up to save you waiting for it to be prepared as they understand lunch breaks fly by.You won't regret taking your weight off your feet here I can promise you that.

Really disappointed. I had a father son day planned and I thought it would be nice to have lunch at mugs. Historically the service and food has always been great and good value. On my most recent visit me and my son walked in got a table selected our order from the menu and waited to be served. It was a busy day so I expected service to be slower than normal however three separate large groups of people came in and had there orders taken straight away. My thinking it was an oversight the issue I had was I had a young son and couldnt leave him while I looked for service. 20 minutes after 3 separate staff walked by I gave up and left. Being asked if I had been looked after would have been enough but I couldnt help but feel ignored. Really disappointed.

Great coffee and food...been coming here for yrs love it

Mugs is a small but stupendous coffee house. The staff are all so friendly - they do what they can to help you and are always willing to go the extra mile to make sure that you have a great experience. The food is perfectly cooked and if you like chicken, you HAVE to try theirs. They marinate it in a particular mix of herbs and spices and its just beautiful. The size of the meals are fantastic, not too tiny, and the cost is affordable. I'd highly recommend this place.
