Terrible aftercare I ended up in northampton general hospital for a week very poorly after being discharged too early..Not impressed
My son had groin hernia operation long wait partner not allowed on ward discharged after 3 hours no pain relief told to take ibuprofen blood still on his legs is this NHS at its best .....Disgusted
Have been in the Woodland about seven times despite being overall "as fit as a butchers dog" just joints wearing out. Always friendly and I have complete faith in my consultant. Car parks a bit of a pig at the current date due to building. Would not think of going elsewhere if they can deal with my problem.I am extending this review having visited again for minor surgery. I still feel the consultant and his PA are excellent, also the nursing staff, the reception staff are very good provided they are not rushed off their feet. The Admin Dept. leaves something to be desired as four times they have invoiced an insurance company I left years ago despite me always giving them the current details. having had nine procedures in nine years I feel the upstairs rooms are a little tired and dated.
This hospital clearly prioritises private patients over NHS. Both times I've been in for day case under NHS I was last and noticed I was treated differently. Specialists were rude and gave wrong advice, nurses were fine though. I'm now going private through another hospital and everything that's been said and done is now being reviewed and it's likely I'll be having an operation, something they wouldn't do under NHS at Woodlands. One further problem is the construction works make it near impossible, if not dangerous for disabled people to access.
Great staff and supportive but the hospital is too far away from local stores and they dont have canteen so be prepared to bring something if your staying for long thats the only reason 4 stars else perfect hospital
