As stated all over web site FREE initial consultation. Sent info I had on what needed sorting out and was sent back Email stating pay 420 and we will advise you. No details of what 420 was for. What a sham!
Really disappointing experience with regards to purchase conveyancing. Each small piece of admin took at least 10 days for them to do i.e. suddenly realising they did not have all of my bank statements after two weeks of me sending them over. Telling my estates agents I had not instructed them when I had an appointment with them the next day - causing preliminary issues with the sale. Not sending me any timely communications. Did not reply to emails (I sent very few). Did not pick up all of the issues in relation to the house. I only got to speak with my acting conveyancer once and I asked how everything was going, she just replied we are just waiting on the results of the last local search (that is usually nothing to worry about) and that there is nothing else to report. She failed to inform me at the time that the results of the other searches that they were in receipt of showed long long lists of unusual, onerous restrictive covenants. Due to this failure in communication, thinking everything seemed okay, I then paid for a survey to be done. Had I gotten all of the information over the phone when I called instead of waiting 10 days for it all to be sent in one large unwieldy, unorganised envelope, I would have not proceeded any further with the sale and would have saved myself over 500 on survey fees. I requested that all communications be scanned to me first and foremost - this NEVER happened. Until the last item that was to be scanned into me - my bill. Oh yes, from date of abortive sale (i.e. I called up at 9.00am - I only managed to speak to an actual solicitor (not my conveyancer!!) at 12noon that day after having to threaten to speak to a manager) by 1pm they had sent me my final bill via email. Funny that, an invoice only takes them one hour to send and SCAN in. Just like magic, this piece of admin did not take ten days to process and did not come through the post to me one week later. Never did receive the Environmental Search that I PAID for. Receptionist lack lustre, reception not always answered and one lady I spoke with was downright rude - as if me asking to speak with my conveyancer was out of the question!! As if, me, the paying customer, did not have the right to speak with them, considering I had only briefly spoken to her ONCE on the phone before - it's not like I was on the phone every day!! I was way too soft with them and they rode rough shod. Do not use. I used to work here as a girl after university and this place used to be impeccable - the people who founded WB Commercial law office on Parkway had this place running like clockworkk, if they knew what it's become today they would be spinning! Shame on you Wilson Browne.
